Depart for flight to Rio

Arrive in Rio

Travel to Petropolis Mission

Spend 4 days in the CAFOD mission, meeting local

People. Help with painting, gardening & river clearing.

Team activities:  games, shared meals and music.

Monday 22nd July

Travel to Rio; Pilgrims Mass,

Copacabana Beach

Tuesday 23rd July

Excursion to statue of
Christ the Redeemer

WYD 2013 opening ceremony and Mass

Wednesday 24th July

Catechesis with Bishops and Youth Festival

Thursday 25th July

As 24th plus Papal Welcoming Ceremony, Copacabana

Friday 26th July

As 24th plus  Way of the Cross

with Pope Francis

Saturday 27th July

Pilgrimage journey to Campus Fidei for All Night Vigil with Pope Francis

Sunday 28th July

WYD Mass with Pope Francis and return to Rio

Monday 29th July

Free day before departure for airport

Tuesday 30th July

Arrive back in UK
